Interpal 2018 & Fall Plant Tours

About the Conference

Interpal, a pallet conference for representatives from the global wooden pallet and packaging industry occurs every four years. The Canadian Wood Pallet & Container Association (CWPCA) and NWPCA are excited to co-host the event, which is expected to draw more than 500 wood packaging professionals to Minneapolis, September 18-20, 2018. This year’s conference features educational sessions, a trade show, multiple plant tours, and a meeting of the Global Wood Packaging Forum.

Plant Tour Highlights

  • Berry Pallets began in 1989 recycling pallets, and has grown into a large regional pallet manufacturer, serving south central and south west Minnesota, and known for their food grade and kiln-dried pallets. Their efficiency measures, from how they purchase wood to utilization, and build-to-order, on either a Viking Turbo 505 or a Viking Champion QC306, enables just-in-time delivery and minimizes inventory.
  • J&B Pallet has manufacturing and recycling facilities in multiple locations, and a staff of over 70. The Eagan facility features automated pallet assembly production, indoor storage, 4 loading docks and 6 station production line. On average, J&B Pallet produces 15,000 new and reconditioned pallets a day.
  • Pallet Service Corporation has been a full service, family owned industrial wood products supplier for nearly 50 years. Pallet Service specializes in new, recycled and re-manufactured pallets along with custom crating and lumber, with manufacturing plants located in Maple Grove and Little Canada, Minnesota and Knapp, Wisconsin.
  • Twin City Pallet was established more than 30 years ago and has continued to grow at approximately 35% per year for the last seven years. Twin City Pallet recycles all wood, plastic and cardboard and metal for their customer’s convenience and manufactures new/custom and remanufactured pallets of all sizes. A fully automated PRS repair line, four quality check points, and a fully automated Viking Champion Nailing machine is used for all new/custom pallets. The new and recycled lumber is ground to spec and colored with the MC266 Rotochopper.
