Are you in compliance with the new ICC and NFPA1 fire codes? This free 90-minute webinar, with Dr. Brad Gething, and fire code expert Bill Koffel, will provide a comprehensive understanding of the new 2018 fire codes on the outdoor storage of wood pallets at manufacturing and recycling facilities. This presentation will include relevant background information on the new 2018 codes, as well as outline specific steps that a facility can take to comply with them. About the speakers:

Brad Gething became a member of the NWPCA staff in July 2013, and now serves as Director of Science and Technology Integration. Brad’s possessive role includes participation in various standards bodies, promotion of research and development, and support on other technical issues related to the wood packaging industry. Before becoming a member of the NWPCA team, Brad worked at Penn State University as a post-doctoral scholar. He earned a MS and PhD degree in Materials from Penn State University, and a BS degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University.

Bill Koffel is President of Koffel Associates, a fire protection and life safety engineering design and consulting firm. Mr. Koffel is recognized as an expert in the fire protection and life safety aspects of codes and standards. He is extremely active in the development process of the industry’s governing codes, standards, and design guidelines including International Code Council (ICC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), and Underwriters Laboratory (UL). Bill represented the NWPCA in the ICC and NFPA processes during the development of the new provisions and was a contributor to the NWPCA Fire Code Compliance Manual.
