judd johnson

Judd Johnson is Editor of Hardwood Market Report. He joined the company in 1994 after spending the first 18 years of his career working in primary and secondary manufacturing sectors of the hardwood industry. He is a proud alum of NHLA’s Inspection Training School (60th class).

Mr. Johnson has contributed to many HMR initiatives that help hardwood companies improve business. Publications developed during his tenure include The Year at a Glance; HMR Executive®, a monthly publication concentrating on issues that influence hardwood business; and HMR Import Newsletter™, the latest HMR publication that details market trends and pricing for key temperate and tropical hardwood lumber species imported into the U.S.

Mark Barford serves as NWPCA Senior Director – Business Partnerships since 2016. A forester by training, Mark came to NWPCA after retiring as CEO of the National Hardwood Lumber Association following his leadership in several other softwood and hardwood industry associations. He remains an advocate for both the pallet industry, and the wood suppliers who serve it.
